Sea Star is dedicated to providing Waldorf
education programs for the children and families
of South Florida. Our faculty is committed to teaching
in ways that allow the potential for learning,
loving and creating
to unfold naturally in children while helping to remove
obstacles in their paths. Academics are taught through
a rich tapestry of classic literature, oral tradition,
art, music, drama, movement and direct experience.
At Sea Star
we are preparing children
to be conceptual thinkers equipped
with self-understanding, compassion, expressiveness
and creative problem-solving skills.
We believe that childhood is a precious time that is
meant to be honored. The Waldorf curriculum inspires
children’s imaginations and builds connections
between the two hemispheres of the brain. The capacities
that children bring extend far beyond the scope of standard
curriculum and standardized testing. By nourishing the
children's innate thirst for knowledge & wisdom,
we are preparing them to be pioneers in the future of
humanity. |

Please join us the
first Thursday of every month for Visitor’s Morning!
Sea Star Initiative in Boca
Raton is an arts enrichment center offering programs
based on the Waldorf philosophy. These include Parent
& Child classes, Nursery Class, Kindergarten, and
programs for children Grades 1-4. The first Thursday
morning of each month is Visitors' Morning, and we welcome
you to join us at 8:45 am.
The morning will begin with a
brief introduction to the Waldorf curriculum, followed
by an observation time in one of our Elementary classrooms.
We will then tour the Early Childhood programs, to include
a visit to the kindergarten during their outdoor play
and a visit to a Parent & Child class in session.
We will end with a time for questions and answers.
The morning will be hosted by Charissa Johnson, the
Early Childhood Enrollment Coordinator and one of the
Parent & Child teachers, along with core faculty
from our elementary classes. Charissa attended Waldorf
School from Nursery through grade 12, and it is a wonderful
opportunity to ask any questions you may have about
the education from someone who has experienced it. It
is also a wonderful opportunity to discover an educational
program here in South Florida that is truly committed
to honoring each child and her/his unique stage of development.
We recognize that all parents
are striving to do what is best for their children,
and to find the educational approach that best fits
their child and family. Please RSVP to 561-452-3618
for Early Childhood and Elementary Visitors' Morning.
We look forward to seeing you at Sea Star! |
